Besides being a means of expression, distraction, and appreciation, the arts have a strong power in health. Research by the WHO shows how engaging with artistic media can be beneficial to mental and physical health. Be it from the simplest, the early years of a child's life with some artistic medium in learning, to completing protocols. If used in the right way, art could even decrease the use of medication, help in more complex cases such as mental health problems, cancer, and be a strong ally in fighting anxiety, for example.
